I
like this book because it kept me wanting to read more. The book is a
definitely a page-turner I recommend this book to any nine years old and
over.
The
book takes place in modern times in England. The main character is Harry
Potter. Harry Potter is a wizard. He goes to a school for witches and
wizards, called Hogwarts.
It
is Harry’s second year at Hogwarts. He and his two friends, Hermione
Granger and Ron Weasley are having a great time learning magic. There is a
new professor, Gilderoy Lockhart who keeps nagging Harry, because the
professor thinks that
Harry
tries to steal spotlight to be famous! While all the witches at school love
the new professor, all of the wizards think that he is a big joke!
After
a month of school at Hogwarts, strange attacks begin to happen. First, the
caretaker’s cat, Mrs. Norris, has been found, not dead, but petrified! Not
only was the cat attacked, but some of the Muggle-born students at Hogwarts
have been found petrified too. Naturally, all of the students are frightened
at this, but they become even more scared when the next victim to be found
petrified is Gryffindor ghost, Nearly Headless Nick!
What
kind of monsters is powerful enough to kill someone who is already dead?
Who will be the next victim of the monster at Hogwarts? Will the victims
ever be revived? To find out you must read Harry and the chamber of
secrets. I have to say that the story was bright, fast-paced, intriguing,
and ultimately satisfying.

Faster planes and cheaper flights
are making it easier than ever before for people to travel. In the most
‘developed’ societies, visiting exotic places is a sought-after status
symbol. The tourism industries of both developed and developing countries
have recognized this fact and are learning to take advantage of it.
There are, however, some problems
associated with this new industry. Firstly, there is the increasing crime
rate. Some locals see tourist as an easy prey because, not only are they in
unfamiliar territory and therefore less able to take care of themselves,
but also they carry visible items of wealth, such as cameras and jewelry
which can disposed of quickly for profit.
Another major problem is health.
With greater mobility comes greater danger of danger of spreading
contagious disease around the world. One carrier returning home could
easily start an epidemic before their illness was diagnosed. Moreover, the
emergence of many disease which resist antibiotics is causing scientists to
be increasingly concerned about this issue.
Also to be considered is the natural
environment,
which can be seriously threatened by too many
visitors. Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, for example, is in danger of
being destroyed by tourists and there are plans to restrict visitors to
some of the more delicate coral cays
