I have a
Hamster named Scruffy. I got him from a pet shop in the mall. I named him
Scruffy, because he always scratched his cage.
Since the first
time I got Scruffy, I have fallen in love with him. He is a nice hamster. I
put a wheel on his cage. He loves to exercise with it. He often sleeps all
day and runs on his wheel all night. That is the one I don’t like. It makes
me feel lonely when he sleeps all the time. But I can’t do anything because
I know that hamsters are nocturnal.
I spend my spare
time with Scruffy. I talk about anything to him. I feel that he could
understand me.
One day, I got
confused because I lost my bicycle key. I tried to find it everywhere, but
I couldn’t find it. I got tired and sat on my bed. I talked to Scruffy.
Suddenly he jumped back and forth many times. When I opened his cage he ran
quickly under my bed and he came up bringing my bicycle key. I was very
surprised. This made me feel sure that Scruffy understood my words.

The Flatiron Building is one of the most famous
historic landmarks in New York. The iconic twenty-one story building, best
known for its triangular shape, was one of the early spectacular high rises
that have come to define Manhattan.
The Flatiron Building was constructed between 1901
and 1903 at the intersection of Broadway and Fifth Avenue, at the time one
of the most prominent locations in New York city, It is situated near
Madison Square at the end of the Ladies’ Mile, one of Manhattan’s most

stories and 93 meters, it was one of the city’s tallest buildings, Its
singular shape and prominent location soon made it one of New York City’s

any other building of its time. The whole area, the Flatiron district, was

Last weekend, my family and I went camping. We
reached the camping site after we walked for about one and half hour from
the parking area. We built a camp next to a small river. It was getting
darker and colder, so we set a bon fire.
The next day, we spent our time observing plantation
and insects while the girls were preparing meals. In the afternoon, we went
to river and caught some fish for supper. At night, we had some fun
activities. We sang, danced, read poetry, played magic trick, and some of
us performed standing comedy. On Monday, we packed our bags and gor ready

My school
organized a trip to countryside. We planned to stay at the hotel and had an
out bond activity the following day. All students grade 9 had to join the
activity.
We all gathered
in the school yard at 09.00. We left for the hotel at 10.00 o’clock in two
different buses. We all enjoyed our trip. It took about 3 hours to reach
the hotel. At the hotel we had lunch and took a rest.
The hotel was
situated near a forest. I suddently saw some pine trees loaded with
pinecones at a distance. I temted to collect some of them. So, I took my
sweater and a knife. I quickly went into the forest. I found one or two
lying on the ground. I hoped to find more pinecones so I kept on going deep
into the forest.
But suddently,
I heard the roar of a lion. I ran at full speed at the opposite direction
into the forest. Exhausted and very scared, I climbed up at a tall tree. I
sat on the top of the branches. When I looked down, I saw a giant lion
walked slowly toward my tree. I held my breath. My hands gripped the tree
firmly. I prayed for the lion go away from that place. Fortunately, the
lion didn’t stop at the tree. He just passed by. I waited until he
disappeared. I waited for about fisteen minutes before I finally decided
that I could go down from the tree.
When I stepped
on earth, I felt my body trembling. I ran away to the hotel as fast as I
could. I told to all my friends what had happened. My teachers warned us
not to go to the forest alone. That was really horrible experience. But I
loved it. It was such kind of adventure.

A Dog and a Rooster decided to travel together. At
night fall the Rooster, looking for a place to perch, as was his custom,
spied nearby a hollow tree that he thought would do very nicely for
sleeping. The Dog could creep inside and the Rooster would fly up on one of
the branches. Both slept very comfortably. In the morning, the Rooster
awoke. For the moment he forgot just where he was. He thought he was still
in the farmyard where it had been his duty to arouse the household at
daybreak. So standing on tip-toes he flapped his wings and crowed loudly.
But instead of awakening the farmer, he awakened a Fox not far off in the
wood. The fox immediately thought that he has got very delicious breakfast.
Hurrying to the tree where the Rooster was roosting,
he said very politely: “A herty welcome to our woods, honored sir. I cannot
tell you how glad I am to see you here. I am quite sure we shall become the
closest of friends.”
“I feel highly flattered, kind sir,” replied the
Rooster slyly.” If you will please go around to the door of my house at the
foot of the tree, my porter will let you in. “The hungry but unsuspecting
Fox, went around the tree as he was told, and in twinkling the Dog had
seized him.
